Announcements and Updates Very Important Information...Please Read in its Entirety!
THE ECONOMY, CRCM AND YOU It is very difficult for one to go a day without hearing the challenges attributed to our present economy. Despite these hardships, our base tuition rates have remained unchanged since we opened for business. Although our operating costs have increased, we at CRCM have struggled with ways to maintain our base tuition rates. After much consideration, I am happy to report that we will NOT raise our tuition rates for 2009! Nevertheless, in order to maintain our base tuition rates, certain changes and concessions must be implemented, which we will now describe. Make-Up Policy - Due to continued and repeated abuse, and despite the notices that were given with each tuition receipt for the past couple of months, we must now further modify our make-up policy. Beginning January 1, 2009 CRCM will NO longer offer make-up lessons. Therefore, cancelled lessons will not be rescheduled or refunded. If the school must cancel classes due to extreme weather or events beyond our control such as instructor illness or power outages, the missed lessons will be credited to your account. No refunds for lessons missed due to these reasons will be given. If you know, in advance, and prior to being charged for the month, that you will be out for any reason, you can inform CRCM management and your month will be prorated.Tuition Payments - Beginning January 1, 2009 all new students must enroll and secure payments using credit card or electronic bank transfer. The security of your data is of utmost importance to us. Our new service providers have servers which are behind state of the art firewalls, monitored 7 x 24 x 365, requires biometrics to enter and reside in the same facility where some of the largest U.S. banks host their servers. Our service providers take storing client information very seriously and adhere to the strict credit card processing security rules and policies. Enrollment - Beginning January 1, 2009 there will be a two (2) month minimum for all lessons (still charged on a month by month basis). Payment for lessons is due on the last lesson day of the month and your account will be charged accordingly. A $25.00 late fee will be assessed for tuition charges received after the due date, in cases of NSF or declined credit card authorizations. Withdrawals - Beginning January 1, 2009 withdrawals will require a 30-day notice. Withdrawals must be done at our front desk and not with the instructor. Any withdrawal with less than the required notice will incur a $35.00 drop fee. SCHOOL CLOSURE As mentioned throughout the summer and fall, CRCM is following the major holiday (Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day) and spring break schedule of the Katy Independent School District. As such, CRCM will be closed on the following dates: For Thanksgiving: November 26 - 30, 2008. We will reopen on Monday, December 1, 2008. For Christmas and New Years: December 22, 2008 through January 4, 2009. We will reopen on Monday, January 5, 2009. All tuition charges have been and will be prorated for November and December. January 2009 tuition will be charged during the week of December 15 - 20, 2008. RECITAL - December 2, 2008
Our first annual Holiday Recital is just around the corner! Flyers mentioning this recital have been posted for nearly two months, and all who wish to participate should already have informed their instructor and CRCM management. Therefore, no other participants can be allowed at this juncture.
The recital will be held at Grand Lakes Presbyterian Church, located at the intersection of Fry Road and Peek Road in Katy, TX. The recital will begin at 6:00 p.m. with the performance of the guitar and orchestral string students, followed by an awards ceremony. The piano recital will begin at approximately 7:00 p.m., also followed by an awards ceremony. All families are asked to bring one canned good to be donated to worthy charities, such as Katy Christian Ministries and the Food Bank, through the church.
Guitar and orchestral string students are asked to arrive at the church NO LATER THAN 5:45 p.m. for instrument tune-up!! Due to potential time constraints, students must be seated and ready to perform at 6:00 p.m. All participating piano students are asked to arrive at the church NO LATER THAN 6:45 p.m.
We at CRCM know that all participating students have worked very hard for this moment! We are sure you are going to enjoy this special evening of music!
OKAY - NOW FOR SOME GOOD NEWS!! There is NO increase in tuition rates for 2009! CRCM will continue to require NO registration fees! CRCM will continue to provide recitals at NO additional cost to the student! CRCM will continue to provide performance opportunities for students at various community events!
