Mr. Reed

Mr. Reed received a Bachelor and Master of Music from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with an emphasis in Education and completed Texas certification training from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas.  

Mr. Reed was taught as a band director and assistant band director at various elementary and high schools for over 35 years before retiring.  In the last 17 years, Mr. Reed has been teaching private music lessons with The Conservatory teaching piano, woodwind and brass instruments.    

In his experience, Mr. Reed was selected to perform a solo at a halftime NFL football game in Chicago between the Chicago Bears and New Orleans Saints.  He also performed in the 1974 Super Bowl featuring Jazz greats Al Hirt and Doc Severinsen of the Tonight Show.  Mr. Reed has worked alongside other great jazz musicians such as Alvin Batiste, Clark Terry, Conrad Johnson, Bubba Tompson, Kirk Whalum, Randy Jackson, and Bradford Marsalis.

Ms. Liliana

Ms. Liliana has a Masters Degree from the Fines Arts Conservatory of Colombia, in Oboe and English Horn, and at the same time studied piano with the best teachers in her country.  Liliana played with the Symphonic Orchestra in Cali-Colombia, for approximately 20 years and also played Camera Music, with woodwind ensembles, and was soloist while performing Oboe Concertos such as Marcelo, Haydn, Mozart, Donizetti, etc., traveling to different countries to perform these works.  She has also performed recently as a guest with the Fort bend Symphony Orchestra and the Galveston Symphony Orchestra, As well as private recitals with chamber ensembles. 

Ms. Liliana thinks that teaching is the best way to share all her musical experience while helping the new generations to keep the focus on their integral development of mind-body and emotions.
